Chanam-dong. Opened in 1989. At the foot of Janam Hill in the west of the city. Traditional one-storey houses dating from around 1900. The 19 houses have 50 rooms altogether. The decorations are traditional, and so is the furniture (beds are soft sleeping mats). It is possible to change money in the hotel. Among the things sold in the hotelshop is the local speciality insam (ginseng).

Sonjuk-dong/Koryo-dong. Opened in 1984. At the foot of Janam Hill. Four floors, 43 rooms.
